St. Simon's After School

St. Simon

St. Simon's supports elementary school children and their families. These families are challenged by economic and family situations which make it difficult to provide a safe, familiar, nurturing place for children after school.  Through St. Simon's, they receive a nutritional snack and encouragement and assistence with academic and social development.  This program is free for working parents.

St. Simon’s, founded by The Episcopal Diocese of Dallas in 1957, now operates under its own 501(c)(3) classification and serves all qualified children regardless of their faith. St. Simon’s operates 16 programs in the Dallas ISD with 20 to 25 at-risk children each. It costs only $350 to support one child for one year.

The Board of Directors meet monthly. Volunteers meet bi-monthly during the school year.
