BatwaBaskets is a ministry that assists members of the Batwa pygmy tribe who live near the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. Baskets that are handmade by the Batwa are sold in the US.  All funds are returned to the Batwa Development Program, a project of the Kellermann Foundation.

In 2008 the basket program provided enough funds for every member of the Batwa tribe to have complete medical care, and also allowed them build a small shop in the tourist region, providing additional income and jobs. We always need helpers -- join us for one of our community or parish sales, and to tell the Batwa story!
