Acolytes are our young people, who assist at the 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m Sunday services as well as various other services throughout the year.

The usual complement of acolytes for a service is:

• 2 Torch Bearers/Servers (Grades 5-7)
• 2 Crucifers (Grades 8-10)
• 1 MC (Master of Ceremonies) (Grades 11 - 12)
• On Incense Sundays (special services) 1 Thurifer (Grade 12)

Acolytes meet for a yearly “refresher” training session and hot dog lunch. New Acolytes are given plenty of training, until they’re comfortable with their role.
