Brandywine Outreach Group

The Brandywine Outreach Group brings food and fellowship to residents of Brandywine, a subsidized apartment complex in Richardson for senior citizens. The group meets 6 evenings a year on the second Wednesday of the specified months with food in hand to provide a light supper and fellowship for the residents. It is during these evenings we are able to provide a nice dinner and socialize with some very remarkable seniors. Some residents have commented this is the one time they are able to “dress up” and how much our visit means to them.

Interested in volunteering?
Volunteers will meet around August to set the dates for Brandywine dinners. At this time the volunteers sign up to bring certain food items on the set dates (entrée, salad, vegetable, dessert, beverages, and fruit). At Christmas, gifts are given to the residents, Santa may visit and Christmas songs are sung. In March a bingo party is also held with the dinner.
